Triangle Marking |

Sorry if this is a repost but I couldn't find anything else about it. I have a German rifle that has been scrubbed and restamped with the Yugo crest,
there are still WAa left in some spots though. As far as I can tell the factoy codes are gone. I noticed the other day that there is a small triangle stamp
about an inch toward the tip from the WAa on my firing pin. There is also a poorly scrubbed spot that has what looks like a small M or maybe a W inside a
trapezoid located on the barrel just above the reciever. Anyone know what these are? Thanks for your help.

It would be great if you could post some photos. The marks in question are Yugoslav acceptance marks. Not sure what they mean. I was looking at one of my Yugo
k98's and it has the same trapezoid as yours. Could be a barrel proof of some sort. The triangle was often a military acceptance mark but could also
represent a specific arsenal. Depends on what is inside of it. Get your self a copy of "Serbian and Yugoslav Mauser rifles" by Branco Bogdanovic.
Lots of info in there. You might also want to post your questions in the "Yugoslav Military Rifle Forum". There reside the experts.
