Most of the rifles are Semi Auto, so full length resizing is going to have to be the norm. Also will be using Military surplus cases for 30.06 in the foreseable future for practice ammo, will be getting better grade brass for match ammo in the future. The 30.06 and 308 will be for the M1 Garand and M14 style rifles, so primer seating depth is going to be a must as well. Both these weapons have been tweaked and can shoot sub MOA on surplus military brass. I will be shooting long distance NRA High power, CMP, and NRA military matches up to 1000 yards. With this in mind, what would your wishlist be for the following, and feel free to add anything I may have left out. Single stage precision loading is what I am after, no progressives and no power tools for priper pocket cleaning, reaming and the like. Beam scale with a powder thrower and a trickler as well. I have listed a few items I am leaning towards. Of course you realise that when you start there is no turning back...moo hoo ha ha ha!!!

I dont know if I will be going with Lee equipment though, still heavily in the advice and research stage.

Posts: 74 (01/27/09 03:09 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	I have been shooting high power (service rifle) for a few years, and I can say that I don't know anybody who does neck turning. The ammo requirements for high power are much less severe than most people realize. For instance, I use cheap 125 grain hunting bullets at 200 yards rather than nice 168 grain SMKs because, well, they're cheap, the recoil is much less, and the accuracy requirements are nil. You almost can't make ammo that won't be adequate at 200 yards. You will need some sort of case gauge for your gas-operated rifle brass. Otherwise you risk over- or undersizing your brass, and either can ruin your whole day. Get a hand primer of some sort, because the one on your Co-Ax is way too much work. I have used a Lee Auto Prime for many, many rounds, but you can spend more money if you want to. Tim
