ofh well, I was disapointed with the stuff they were pulling with their Martini's anyway. I guess it is one less site i need to bother with in the future.

So what is with SOG's new web site? |

Can't even brouse the eye candy unless you have a license now. That sucks. I know that you all have C&R's. I never bothered getting mine. I did
buy some bayonets from SOG though and enjoyed seeing what was out there.

They have followed the path of Century International Arms, and I wouldn't be suprised to see other wholesaler/retailers follow suite.

I guess they don't want peons to panic when they see the mark up the dealers at shows are tacking on to sell them. I haven't bought anything from
either of them in years now so I could care less. I would say though this is a real stupid time to limit the audiance? Dumb marketing at a bad time sure makes
no sense to me! Bill

I will have to agree with Zeebill. There is not too much difficulty in prices on a web site confidential. Some web sites show the products and maybe an end
user price, but if you are a registered member and a license holder, they have a spot where you can go to obtain the discounted prices. I believe Century used
to be that way.

Now I have to figure out to get into that website or not. They have my FFL on file but have not issued me a password. I do get the SOG snail mailings.

Since they refer to "FF dealer", are they going to continue honor 03 FFLs? Carl |

Greg, irregardless as to what you think, there are worser ways to mutilate words and their meaning. Hope you get to feeling gooder.

Yes, they allow 03 C&Rs on file. Just fill out the info on the rgistration page and set you password, and it should go through - it did for me at least.

I've recently sent my renewed 03 license to them and now have access to their new site. It doesn't seem very user friendly to me. They have headings
for "Ammunition", "Magazines" and "Accessories". I'm more interested in "Guns".
I get the feeling I'm missing something. Do I have to do something
different to get FFL access?

Sounds like HSC is getting over the flu, and is back to his old self!
Now, Someone please 'splain to me the difference between "flammable" and "inflammable"...
...and I think my West Virginnny school-teacher friend meant to say "more worserer than the worstest". (or is that "mo' worserer than the worstest"?)

phoglund: I've filled in the info on the site, but it does not seem to take or retain my FFL (C&R) number. I've e-mailed them a copy of the FFL
and two separate notes asking them what else I need to do. No response.
While I have been able to register on the site, there are no firearms (that I can see) listed on the site. I don't get it. Possibly because my FFL number is not being accepted???? If they would respond to my notes, I might get an answer. I get their monthly flyer in the mail, and on their old site I was able to register such that I could see the firearm prices. |

I just registered using my C & R license number without any problems. If you do a search you can turn up some firearms but it isn't easy. But, in
reality, they may be close to being sold out. I often go by where they are located in Lebanon, Ohio and usually there are stacks of firearms crates outside for
anyone to take. Over the past few weeks there have been absolutely no crates at all. Highly unusual.

Almost all the firearms in their last flyer were listed "POR" - sounds like you need to call them to find out any firearms prices.

chalk me as yet another 03 that can't get into their 'new & improved'(?) web site

e-mailed them a couple times, and got put on hold forever when I called them yesterday actually quite frustrating, even tho misery loves company.... any suggestions? Bob |

I just registered there. You have to fill out the requested information (Name, E-mail address, License number, etc) and you enter your OWN password (whatever
you want to use). After submitting that info, you should get a return email that contains a "confirmation link". You have to click on that link to
complete the process. (I had to click on the "re-send confirmation link" several times before I finally got one to work......)
Once you log in, click on "Site Map" at the bottom of the page, then click on "Products Sitemap" to get a list of items available. Not very user friendly at the moment...
FWIW.

Hmmmm.... maybe I shouldn't have registered after all. I just got laid off from my job, so it looks like I won't be ordering anything any time soon.
