no 4 front sight question |

Hello, I am new to the forum and have a question regarding my front sight base. I have a 1942 Longbranch No 4 Mk 1* and the front sight base seems to be on
backwards for some reason. That is, the screw for adjusting the front sight is facing towards the rear of the gun and makes it very difficult to adjust. I am
wondering why this would be? and how would you go about positioning the base so the screw faces outward? Your help will be greatly appreciated! thank you

That screw keeps tension on the blade so it won't move.
It was put on backwards. Remove the guard...then see how its pinned...remove pinning and switch around....never had to do this, was just wondering if it could be gently tapped off or a puller is required. |

Welcome to the forum, mustangguy...from another Mustang fan.
One thing important to remember about L-Es. Everything is removed right to left (as in shouldering the rifle). Brad |
