I'll leave this contest thread open for entries until 6pm Central on Saturday, 28 February. As usual, here's my unofficial entry for the month - I'm sick and tired of snow and ice, so I needed something with some color in it (well, something other than grey and white), so here's a photo I took back in the summer of my Romanian RPK (one of Century's AES-10Bs). I have a similiar one with the light stock on it, but it is a No4. Mk2 with a 1956 date on it made at Faz. Bought it at a small gun show about ten years ago and it did not appear to ever been fired, other than proofing at the factory. Got the No.9 blade bayonet with it also. But I will be damned if I can find the correct sling for it. I could go with a WW2 vintage sling, but that would simply not be right for a 1956 rifle. Curt

I get a kick out of seeing old warhorses, especially when guys actually take a minute or two to edit the pictures. Imagine, no toes in any submissions - yet. Decisions, decisions. What to post? Does this count? I bought a new digital camera over a year ago and this was one of the first pictures I took with it. I found this old C47 at a regional airport in Cheraw, SC. I'm sure it's a C&R! Okay, on a serious note. How about a picture of 2 Norwegian k98's? One of 'em is mine (I found it at a gunshow in Columbia last month). The other one is VIS35's. Curt I don't see any eyes, either. But it's clearly a staged photo... very Soviet-ish in that regard - I'm sure the Mosins felt completely in their element! It looks like most of the rifles aren't even cocked, so no need for eyes/ears, I suppose. Definitely a neat photo, though! All rifles were unloaded and all bolts were open going in and out of the woods so I could visually verify condition at all times. I'm the safety Nazi. BTW I'm holding the SKS in the pic.
