Burnt by an auction arms Vz24 |
Lead | |
|
bought this one off of auction arms and got blistered on it, no mention of any problems with the stock but as the pics show, there are some serious issues
here. Opened the gun up to reveal a ton of epoxy iside the mag well and more cracks than I could believe. One question though, what does the FR mean that is
in front of the serial number?

For what it's worth Sarco has VZ24 stocks listed in their ad that are supposed to be in super condition.
The seemed to be reasonably priced. |

The FR in front of the Serial number means that it was made for Romania. HTH

FR=Feverishly Repaired.

The R in the serial prefix shows it was for the Romanian contract. The F is the series. The Romanian contract series went from AR, BR, etc to at least YR.

can't wait for my new stock to arrive and take her out and put some lead through it. Thanks for the info guys

Krippp, I'm happy the seller made it right with you. $100 for the complete barreled receiver and all the metal hardware is a very good deal.

That stock could be repaired so don't throw it away. Carl

I have two stocks. One is complete and the other is missing the upper hand guard. If interested let me know.

Glad the seller was a stand up guy and worked with you. I wonder what could have happened to the stock to sustain damage like that. Run over by a Fed Ex truck
maybe?

That stoc has been heavily sanded, metal above wood surface, big time! Reason enough to send it back.
