Tired of getting towed out and paying them just because they won't do anything to improve the place except take your money home. Got towed 3 times in one day last year and yes I do get there very early and do park in the upper lot and have parked on the road and rode the shuttle in and I am tired of their excuses for inaction with the amount of money they take in there. Plan on going to a big flea market in Ohio which is free and usually nets at least three or more parts at least Mosin's for less money than I spend in a day down there just to get in and eat and of course get towed out of the mud. Bill

I saw in another PB forum where someone recommended he get a cow or sheep. Zoysia grass would require less mowing too, about once a month they say.

With tax time rolling around, grass growing like crazy, gas prices going up, Zeebill's displeasure with the parking conditions and the lack of ammo at a reasonable price at the show.....there's plenty of reasons & excuses not to go on this end. I am putting back some $$ for the Fall shoot already. That seems to be the fun one for me and the family.

The road is now paved from the range to the redone bridge. Things that have changed at KCR..paved road, redone bridge, bridge walkways, new pole barn with better lighting, new range line. The ravine on the right as you near the range has been filled and a new traffic pattern will allow the range line to expand. These changes are not the result of inaction or excuses..they cost money and labor. I think it is unreasonable to expect KCR to pave parking lots used twice a year. As with other big outdoor venues..Bonaroo eg. lots of folks park on the grass and get towed out when the weather gets bad. We get what nature sends our way and share fair as well as foul weather, dust or mud, sunshine or torrential rains, heat or cold.. The days of ammo deals are done..KCR, flea markets, gun shows all show the trend of scarce and costly ammo. I support my local range by being a dues paying member and feel I have the right to express my positive opinions as others express their negative opinions.. I will miss my friends who cannot make the Shoot and look forward to seeing those who make it.
