I'm new here. I bought a rifle today which I assume to be a Vz 24, but it doesn't have Vz 24 anywhere. The receiver ring has CS ZAVODY NA, VYROBU ZBRANI, BRNO in an arc. On the left side of the receiver is what looks to be E?lion35, but this is partly stippled/ stamped. The serial number is 1467 N3. The rifle bluing and stock appear to have been redone, but professionally. There is a small lion on the right side of the receiver, and a Z in a circle above the serial number on the floorplate. The bolt handle is straight. The rear sight is marked from 200-2000 meters. There is a lion and a crown on the underside of the bolt handle. All numbers match on the receiver, bolt, floorplate, and stock.
Was this a Czech army or an export rifle? Is it from 1935?
Thanks,
Eric
