Here's a pic of me holding the scabbard in my hand (and I'm a small guy, with small hands). Whenever there is a simple error that most laymen fall for, there is always a slightly more sophisticated version of the same problem that the experts fall for. It measures 7 1/2" (190mm) long by 1 3/4" (44mm) wide at the widest point.
