I am trying to find an old western movie. I don't recall any of the actors, the director, or even the decade it was made in. I'd guess 40's or 50's. I know.....what good am I?.... I do remember the main character was a trapper and the central theme of the film was that trappers quest to obtain a Henry rifle. There was a line in the movie something similar to .... "15 shots without reloading, the injuns just won't understand that" I know I'm asking a lot, given the small amount of info I've provided. And I'm a newbie... ..... But there seems to be some very knowledgeable western movie buffs on this board, so I thought it was worth a shot. I have searched, and searched the internet for this movie. I have become well schooled on "Trappers" and "Henry" rifles, but have yet to find the movie.... Thanks in advance for any help you might provide. ....

Then agian the one I was thinking about was in color so maybe not the same one. The parts I remember he went into a store and didn't have enough money to buy the rifle so he had to take it, or borrow it. He needed it to drive off the hordes of Indians and save his love interest. Then he was in the woods fighting the Indians. He shot once and they started to attack and he kept shooting. He saved the girl but I don't remember him returning the rifle. Still can't remember the name of the movie.

I have never seen this movie, and what little I found on the internet doesn't really match your desciption, but who knows?
