Posts: 25 (04/17/09 02:31 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Tags : None 1918 .455 Webley Mk VI There is what appears to be a struck out serial number near the rear edge of the cylinder and a serial number on the opposite rear edge that matches the serial numbers on the barrel above the hinge and on the butt that appear original to the gun. .38 Webley Mk IV "Singapore Police Force Contract" Revolver The serial numbers on the cylinder, barrel, and frame are original (not re-stamped) and match. This is a variant of the S.P.F. Contract Revolvers that has an integral sliding block safety located in the frame. (It appears as a silver rectangle in these photos.) Singapore Police Force Inverntory Number and a view of the sliding block safety below the hammer: Importer's stampings on the bottom of the barrel: Both of these revolvers are a joy to shoot. I wish I had bought more when they were available for less than $200. Posts: 293 (08/22/09 09:43 AM) active member Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	I have a few Webleys, unfortunately they are all shaved cylinders to accept .45 ACP in moon clips, but I never shoot .45 ACP in the gun, rather I down load .45 Auto-Rim to about 650-700 fps with soft swaged 250 grain Remington HB RNFP lead bullets. Lets the gun operate more like it was designed to with no moon clips and it won't hurt them with the highier proof level .45 ACP facory loads.
