I recently got a mismatched 98K, not an RC, that had a bad barrel. It is a 1938 S/147 and it has no Russian markings on the action, bolt or stock. I happened
to have one of the new old stock Norwegian 7.62 MM barrels so decided to rework it. I had to slightly touch it with the chamber reamer to get correct head
space. It was darn near perfect as is. Reinstalled the original sights using the eyeball method. Was pleasantly surprised at the first 5 shots out of it at
100 yards with 150 grain hunting ammo. The barrel is a real machinists dream. Perfect dimensions and the bore is the best I have ever seen on a military
barrel.

Congratulations on the latest improvements; especially since everything seemed to 'fall into place' so easily-
