So it's a Turk in a Swede Mauser stock, one that the Turks likely did and not stateside?

HSC, it's a great mystery to me. Maybe they should be called Turdish Mausers.
Originally I assumed it was stateside but now I'm no longer certain. No matter which way you look at it things don't add up. Carl

New Jersey has once more deemed me a model citizen, so I was issued a few handgun permits. Here's my first buy:

Michael,
A very nice P1, I would appreciate if you would also post it at the German Handgun Forum. It deserves exposure at that Forum.

That holster is definitely nicer looking than the generic black leather or flectarn pattern holster for the P-38/P-1!!
Nice pistol too!

Life is the crummiest book I ever read, there isn't a hook; Just a lot of cheap shots, pictures to shock, and characters an amateur would never dream up... |

I picked up an early production Mod 629 with box tools and papers, looks to be in like new shape. Will post pictures when my 10 day wait is up. Sure takes a
little of the fun out of buying a gun when you have to wait a week and a half to take your gun home?

Nice P38! I have a Walther P1 loaded in the kitchen "gun drawer."
On "ready alert" as I like to call it. hsc |

My Uberti 1861 Colt's Navy reproduction arrived yesterday. Civilian model with the standard blue, it is a real beauty. Fit, function and finish are about
perfect though the color case hardened frame seems a bit weak, or maybe pale is a better word, on the left side, while strong and dark on the right. Overall it
looks about a half a notch better than my Pietta, but I do have other Pietta's that are a bit nicer than some Uberti's, so maybe it is a near toss-up.
Having several of both, I do feel that Uberti's average just a bit better in the long run! |
