NRA show featured Mosin last night! |
Lead | |
|
Was reading and watching Outdoor Life Channels Wednesday night at the Range and low and behold they did a feature on the Mosin Nagant rifle and even mentioned
a bit about the Finnish use and the SA stamp on them meaning that. Really touted it as cheap and good to shoot so look out we will have others chasing them
again for awhile I guess. They even had most of the points they made right but of course erred on several points though. Can't be perfect but they did a
fairly good job to even mention it I guess. Anybody else catch it? Bill PS I remembered what it was they erred on, they said the round receivers
happened in the 1920's when indeed they occurred in the 1935 to 1936 period

I watched it and enjoyed the information. I'm not a Mosin guy, so most of it was somewhat new to me and I wouldn't know if they made a mistake or not.
I'm actually glad to see them feature milsurps on their program. Most of the time I only catch programs that feature the Colt 1911 which has to be the most
featured, copied, and talked or written about gun ever made.

Ya, I caught about half of that as well. I picked up one mistake but can't remember what it was.

I thought the statement that they were also made at the Steyr factory early on was wrong

I was wondering about that too. Anybody know for sure? I have never heard that and indeed doubt it's truth. Bill
