She is OK, it was the head of the femur that was broken (she hates drinking milk), and was repaired with four screws. She has a lot of pain, but she's very tough. She has to go for a heart test tomorrow, I'm to stay overnight with her (not sure why that's requested) so we're fairly concerned. So, if I can get some more prayers that the test will both run well and the results be good, I'd really appreciate it, again. hsc

My mom fractured her femur a couple years ago and had it pinned. She was back on her feet with good mobility. Do the best to get things right. Hang in there.

She had a heart catherization, found two arteries with up to 70% blockage, two stents were put in, she came through OK. I didn't exactly know what she was up there for....I was in the waiting room for that proceedure....when several families broke down in tears upon talking to the doctor, I began to grasp the gravity of the situation (my parents tell me VERY LITTLE about anything they are experiencing). One fella, after what the doctor said, well, he'd be just about done for I guess, with very little recourse. So, I think mom's in pretty good shape, considering the contemporaries. I stayed the night with her, the hospital was new and very nice (had a little couch in there, I slept pretty well). Lots of hot nurses and PA's, too bad most were married....the one I did talk to shot me down pretty quickly....good thing I know how to jump out of a plane! I even got a bit of "gun time" in when I went out to the car and strapped on my Kahr 9mm to walk down the road last night and eat at Taco Bell....so this is a gun post of sorts afterall. Thanks again everyone! So far, I think it's looking pretty good. hsc

Our parents must be related as they do the same lack of info thing with me, at times when I think it would be prudent to do so.
