Yes. Back the die out of the press. I always set up my dies for "minimal" FLR. You need to have fired stout loads - where the empty case won't
re-chamber easily. Then start with the FLR die screwed out a bit, resize a case and see how easy it is to chamber. If it is still tight, resize a
'fresh' case with the die screwed in a little bit further. Repeat this until the bolt closes with a little bit of resistance on a resized case.

Another method is to back the die out and then screw it back in a little at a time while watching the case neck. Stop when the neck sizing reaches the
shoulder. The idea is to not push the shoulder back any. This method will actulay resize the body walls a little but that can't be helped unless you want
to go with a true neck sizing die.

Works very well and is head-spacing on the shoulder. The case diameter will be reduced some amount and will be closer to your chamber size than full length
sized brass.
Examining a partial FLR case will typically show a step in the neck and sides, these steps will center the case within the chamber and the extended head to shoulder length will determine head space. |
