Turked sight compared to original |

Here is a Turk sight at the top of the photo that I just bought from Springfield Sporters compared to an original sight below it. This is the first time I came
across one of these. It looks like the Turked sight has had the numbers machined off of it. When I first saw it, I thought they had sent me the wrong sight.
Other differences is that the V is missing from the top of the Turk along with the little flip up sight and there is a different pin to hold it in place.

When the Germans did the 05 conversion they removed the small flip up 400 meter sight because with the "S" ammo the old 200 meter low set on the main
sight became the 400 setting .

The numbers where machined off, possibly twice. Once to be restamped in Turkish numbering and then again when the Turks switched wstern numbering and
lettering.
