I received the Darrell's scout mount I ordered for my M38 Nugget today along with the NcStar 4x32 scope and I must say I am really pleased with how easily it all went together. I just wanted to show off a bit (since I know this crowd will appreciate it).
I am considering sneaking the scope forward just a hair since I only have about 1/4" clearance when sliding in a stripper clip and I would really hate to damage the optics if I have to reload in a hurry, but the sight picture I have from this distance is amazingly clear. Also, this is not zeroed at all, simply slapped on because I had to see how it all came together.
The funny cords under the rear are the scratch covers for the scope that I placed under there for "artistic angle".
Hi res here.
I had an S&K scout mount on before this, but I like Darrell's so much better. The S&K forced the scope to sit too far back (it actually got in the way of reloading), and I can get much better scope rings in the weaver style.
Just had to share.
Regards,
Rob
