I vote for the Enfield, preferably a Mk 5 JC. My rationale is the highest magazine capacity, quick reloads, good short range accuracy, easy manuverabilty in close quarters, powerful cartridge, fast bolt, and reliabilty. The peep sights are also an advantage. Bear in mind only a head shot will stop the brain-suckers, and they are slow moving, nocturnal, and attack en mass. Whereas they eat brains, they do not fire back. Any other thoughts? Mausers? MN's? MAS's? Carcano's? Arisaka's? Springfield's? Last Edited By: Mountain Doctor 06/04/09 02:17 PM. Edited 1 time.

That would keep them beyond arms length when ammo runs low, remember the Sargent Major and Trooper Hook in Zulu with their Enfield 455/450's.

I don't know if my M91-59 would make it even though the bolt doesn't stick too bad. Gotta have a short rifle, sorry Carl. I think the Swiss is too long.
