a friend of mine has a Swiss rifle in 7.5 swiss (of course) that he's going to sell to me. it has a muzzle cap, but no sling, bayonet, or any other
accessories. the reason i really want it is because it does not have any importation marks. the wood is chewed up around the butt, but that's completely
normal for these guns. what should i offer the guy? none of the markings are peened out or mutilated. i checked under the buttplate and there was a label, but
it was from a 1970s style label maker that had the name of a previous owner, Billy something, no troop tag there.
i thought i'd ask here to see what the difference in value would be between an import gun (which i've seen on AIMsurplus and JGsales) and a non-import marked gun, which i havn't been able to find anywhere for sale. if anywhere, this is probably the place to ask.
