"?" stamp on 1916 Lithgow |
Lead | |
|
Greetings to all. I'm new to the Forum. I have a yellow nose Lithgow with a stamping on the receiver ring. It shows a circle with a "?" in the
center. The stamp is located on the R/S above the serial Number. Is also in two other locations. Can anyone tell me what this indicates?

I fairly sure this is a "Bill Hook".
I've run across a description of this marking before, it has something to do with a Australian company logo. |

temberflash,
Thanks for the responce. That stamp was driving me nuts. Thanks also for showing off your SMLE III in a prior post. It is good to see one come back from a sporter attack ! 14225 |
