Wish I could have afforded it. It's been converted to fire metallic carftridge ammo but I don't know what kind of a conversion as I'm not up on them. It's nickled and Wolf engraved. Just under the serial number on the front of the frame are the letters I and E. He says the E means it's engraved, but neither of us can figure out the meaning of the I. Any enlightenment out there?

I visited that site, and after having a look at it, I registered. They know a lot about Colts there. Added, next day; Boy! does that site get a lot of action! I use them for info whenever I buy another Colt. They always reply quickly but sometimes their estimates vary from expert to expert. They are pleasant people for the most part with everything from collectors of safe queens to people that shoot their Colts.
