Posts: 1907 (06/23/09 05:43 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Tags : None Have been doing some cleaning out of stuff for an upcoming garage sale and I am thinning out a few things.(junk) I opened my trunk of milsurp accessories and out came the smell of cosmoline from some wrapped yugo bayonets. My wife walked by the trunk, took a big wiff and said "ahhh, cosmoline". I nearly hit the floor. She still doesn't like Hoppes # 9 but there is hope. She is a shooter but likes cowboy guns not milsurps. I'm pretty lucky to be married to someone who isn't anti-gun, but for her to actually like cosmo is just awesome.

The back bedroom is where I have most of my guns stored and I keep the door shut. There are a couple rifles in there still in the cosmoline and they emit a nice smell. When I get on the cranky side, I simply open that door for a bit and the smell wafts thru the entire house and calms my nerves down. I had to take several deep whiffs of it last evening after I read that Chu Lai 68 is no longer with us, after being killed in an auto accident the other day. That depressed me quite badly. Curt
