It looks like someone bought for a truck gun, shot it and did not clean it, and let it slide around behind the seat for a while. It had some rust, and 50% of the shellac gone. It had a price tag of 75.00 and I looked it over for a few minutes when the man said "60 bucks and it's yours". about 3 seconds later it was mine. The rust problem was superficial and has been rectified. I ordered some garnet shellac flakes to carefully repair the shellac issues. I'll have to photo a before and after shot. Several people stopped me at the show asking which table I bought it from. They said they were looking for cheap "truck guns" I was just looking for a deal . I saw one SVT but it was way out of my price range. Bamasurp Soviet who?

Love to see some before and after pics since I may be looking at doing some shellac repair myself. Makes me feel like somewhat of a dunce for shelling out a couple of hundred for one. Maybe tomorrow it will be a project to work on. I'll take pics of the stock first. I already carefully cleaned the rust issues. I might cruise some local shops for hidden gems tomorrow.
