Madsen M47/1958 | ||

Hello: I recently picked up a Madsen M47 at a gun show for $50. It is serial number 3665-58 and in excellent condition. The only problem is that it is
missing the bolt. Does anybody out there know where I can find a bolt for this rifle? It looks like a fine weapon to shoot and I would like to obtain one
soon. Thanks.

Gosh, I haven't seen any parts available for the Madsen....nor a parts gun. Good luck in your quest. If you are unable to acquire a bolt. Maybe you can
become a source for others with your rifle and part it out with what you have available.
Thanks,

Bought a Madsen M1958 last weekend | ||

Serial no. 3424-58. Gun is 99% and I believed unfired until I shot it . Very accurate. Paid $80 for it and will take a deer this fall with it.

Well, they keep showing up, but, with 242 reported out of at least 6500, there are plenty yet to be found.
Keep up the good work and if you see one, regardless of who it belongs to...jot down the s/n and report it.
Thanks,

Sorry, Emerson.....I didn't have 0109-58 listed anywhere. I don't know when or where you submitted it. I have it now, though....
Thanks

Walked into a local shop on Wednesday and found SN 2243-58 sitting forlornly in the used/consignment rack. After my heart started beating again, I purchased
it. Used, but in very good, complete condition. (see my earlier post about my bubba'd Madsen)

I just stumbled on to this site. Didn't know so many people
liked Madsens'. My ser # is 0878-58. I bought it MANY years ago through the NRA magazine. No disc or bayonet. Perfect condition. Thanks. Forgot to add. At
the time they said it was made for the Argentine Army. Any info on that?

Trip......thanks for adding your number. It's a new one to me. These rifles were ordered by the Colombians and didn't take possession. As far as I
know they immediately sold them as surplus due to their change to semi-auto rifles...probably the FAL.
Thanks,
Ol'Duke |
