Yeah I too hope everyone has a great and significant 4th of July! I will be sampling grilled food, watching fireworks, listening to bluegrass music and Do-wop,
participating in the Elkins cruise in and show, and riding the trike in nice weather I hope. In the 50's here tonight in WV so I hope it warms up a bit for
the holiday! Best to All! Bill

I was planning on a couple more jumps but a friend didn't come in to join me so I'll just jump again next week. Richard may drop down for some
shooting Monday but the range may be full.
I'm going whitewater rafting again tomorrow (nothing special about that as it's become a "Friday activity" this summer) BUT Richard is going along on the lower New River Sunday! LET'S HOPE FOR SOME GOOD SURFING AND MAYBE A YARD SALE *ON VIDEO*
I wish everyone the best for the 4th. If it's rainy here I'll shoot off an illumination flare. hsc |

Independence Day as originally defined by one of the signers for the Declaration of Independence (and second U.S. President), referencing the day it was first
read to the Continental Congress. By the next year, July fourth (instead of Adams' referenced second) was acclaimed, and has been hence forth!
John Adams had written to his wife Abigail: "The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more." Y'all have a wonderful, safe, yet fully appropriate 4th tomorrow, and may the sound of guns be an integral part thereof. |

"...may the sound of guns be an integral part thereof." with the price of ammo these days, many will have to reach into their stash to snap, crackle and pop tho, in the inner cities, that's never been a problem
a good and safe 4th to one and all Bob |
