Hello all! Import marks and originality... |
Lead | |||||||||

Hello! Just signed up, looks like a good site. I have a question regarding how import marks affect "originality" of a rifle. I have an Israeli mauser that was originally a German gun. It has a CAI import mark on the barrel, and as this was a very late-war rifle it did not have an original serial number and so was marked with one on the receiver. It is in the same print as the import mark, so I am assuming this was done at the same time. How much do these two markings affect the "original-ness" of the rifle?
