Original Winchester markings, no additional markings. In excellent condition, original patina metal and wood, not fired sense purchased from the New Mexico Boarder Guard in 1965. Information is for a friend and owner.

The 10's don't fetch as much as the 12's price wise although the blue book doesn't make a distinction. My one year old blue book lists them at 98%-$3,000, 90%-$2,400, 80%-$2,000, 40%-$800. Despite what the Blue Book states when I have seen the 10 gauges in the normal kind of shape you see a 100 year old gun in they have been asking around $600 in my part of the country which is WA. However the NM Border Guard would add some value to it also I would think, it would for me. Are there any marks or stamps or writing on it IDing it to the NMBG?

No gouges or scratches, original wood finish shows age and a bit of grime. Receiver is a nice blue with an even browning patina on the barrel. Action is smooth and clean. No rust (other than browning). Thanks, for the input and values, this will help my friend get a fair price for it. Doug

He had inherited it from his grandfather and it was totally original. He could walk me into the ground and I was in my late 20's and early 30's at the time. He once told me that he had been offered $3000 for it and he refused. This has been about 20-25 years ago. Just wanted to add my $.02 worth
