It's been a long time since we did one there. All of the locations are a good distance for me to get to, but that one is closer than the others and maybe we can even see George and son again. But anywhere is OK with me as long as gas stays under $3.00 per gallon.

Perhaps you West Virginians can teach an Illinois yankee how to shoot. If it works out, which most likely won't, I can pick up some Hoosiers along the way.

I never read anything but the Mosin forum guys you got to give me a warning shot to wake me up! Let me think about breakfast. Most of you guys coming from the south? or what? Let me get the directions for the place down pat as I always go the back way and you guys don't need that route for sure!!! Dirt road loaded with critters! All you will have to do is get off of Interstate 79 and stay on the one road till the range sign where you make a left and go up the hill. I will get back later this week with the exit number and all that stuff. Food can be north of there in town or south of there at Flatwood Shoney's. Later guys I am missing the HR Derby! Bill

As an old racecar driver I merely drive at pace lap speed anywhere I go! Now anyone knows they are not racing at pace lap speed? I hold a steady speed so that when the green flag drops I will be on the cam in fifth gear so I can jump on it and go. 4 cylinders need RPM's to go you know! It takes me about and hour and twenty minutes to make the 100 miles to Charleston from here, merely pace lap speed my friends. Go to bottom of ramp and take Rt 19 southbound away from Weston. About 5 miles, it will be after you pass the resort entrance on the left you will see a road marked shooting range or the symbol for one. Up the hill and you are there, park and hope they have serviced the port-potty and that one is there! Any questions feel free to ask! Bill

Posts: 3666 (07/20/09 11:47 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	More on directions to the range, when you get off on exit 91 and head south on Rt 19 you have almost exactly 4 miles to the parking lot of the range. There is a porta-potty there but I did not check it's condition. There were 8 people shooting when I visited there Sunday afternoon which frankly surprised me in the numbers department but then I only shoot on weekdays. The range sign is on the right hand side of the road and the road is right there so be ready to turn left quickly. The range is about 11 miles from town and a local diner will be open down by the river off the main street. The food is good there and it has a local hometown flavor to the place. I will not eat there unless others want to try it as home is cheaper and I am getting ready for a big road trip next month. The long range weather report is for isolated thunderstorms but that is what they are saying for all week so what do they really know. We are on a hill there and I have been up there during a storm and the truck was the place to be as lightning was cracking away. Mountain showers come and go in minutes and move rapidly away so time is not a problem usually. Everything looks go on this end and I am just tying up loose ends right now.
