After you guys left I continued shooting and got 40 rounds through the AK Chuck with not trouble and it was exetrememly accurate out to 300 yards. I too had a ammo fuhpah in that the only 7.62x39 I had was in 40 ronds mags for the AK so when I went to shoot the Rashid I had to unload the mag for ammo. My fingers hurt like heck this AM. The old nerve damage and arthritus really is acting up, hard to type, it actually hurts!
The Rashid is perhaps the best thing since sliced bread! I love this thing! Like shooting a BB gun and ten times as accurate! Worked flawlessly through 40 rounds or so and brought all kinds of what is that, Man it rocks comments from everyone there. It too reached out to 300 yards and banged anything I could see out there.
Successfull shoot even though the numbers were low we had quality and neat weapons to look at although I had 10 new to the range weapons to shoot so time was at a minimum to look. I was very pleased at the fact they all worked pretty well except the Winchester 1895 in 7.62x54r which although it shot had a trigger pull like a tank without power steering so I opted to stop after just 3 shots through her. She will got to a local gunsmith who is good at trigger problems to have a look see because I don't want to break anything myself.
I have sore fingers but even shooting from 7:45 till after 3:30 and going through 10 rifles the only one that would really hurt you I shoot was the little Swede 94-14 carbine. Chucking that Swede 6.55 down the range out of that baby all day would hurt a dead man, Funny no one wanted to try it either. I put 40 rounds through it and that was more than enough for me. I am tender this AM in the shoulder area but really not sore or anything like that.
Well I would say a Good time was had by all and I know I sure enjoyed the company of all, especially Amberg Rifleman who was a new comer to our crazy group. Come back often Marv! Be warned we sometimes get crazy with fun! By the way the meal at zeebill's house will have pizza in it in some form for the next week at least! I did enjoy that little luxury as I am sure all seemed to also. Went to Blue Grass show last night through all that rain we had up here and got home and slept the sleep of the dead! Got to run for church as my buddies daughter is singing and if I don't show I will be personanongrada! Bill
