What is the significance of your nickname that you use here in the PB forums? My nickname is "wworker" and it is a short version of "Woodworker" which is usually already taken by someone else at many online sights and forums. I choose this nickname because someone usually asks me whether or not I am still doing woodworking and my reply is always, "everyday". It has been my hobby since I was in middle school and it seems to compliment my newer hobby of collecting mil surplus. Some of you guys have interesting and unusual signatures and phrases too. I saw one this morning in latin, "Si vis pacem, para bellum" which means "If you want peace, prepare for the war". If you really want to impart, tell about your signatures if you use one. My phrase is self made to remind me that change is inevitable and part of life. "Routine breeds apathy, but change brings progress"

I have a electric pole at the corner of my detached garage. On it, I have installed a street light. I was up the pole changing the burned out light bulb. My neighbor, who is a good guy, but enjoys his beer on the weekend, came over to visit. Now, you need to know that I live right on the edge of the country and suburbia. I have ducks, geese, chickens, large garden, pony, dogs, etc. I take care of things with a 1949 Farmall Cub. I work for a multinational financial organization, and at that time, was going to work in a suit........back to my "happy" neighbor. So, my neighbor with a couple too many beers under his belt comes down across the woods that separates our houses. See's me with climbing spurs up the electric pole, and beller's out, "Hey Mr. Hainey, you making a phone call?" referencing the old sitcom, Green Acres. In his drunken state, he mixed up the lawyer-turned-farmer character Mr. Douglass with the shyster Mr. Hainey. The name Mr. Hainey has stuck. Everyone in the neighborhood, including the kids, the check-out girls at the store, the barber, etc. call me Mr. Hainey. I don't know how many of them know my real name! LOL. My signature is very simple: Molon Labe: response by the Spartan King to the Syrian Emporer trying to invade Greece with a immensely overwhelming force. The Syrian king offered that if the Spartans would put down their weapons, they would be given safe passage. He was " Willi", so I got stuck with "little Willi"

My interest is Commonwealth and British Military Arms, the most famous of which is probable the Lee-Enfield (Or the Martini-Henry, but that doesn't work as well as a Screen Name). The Lee-Enfield is in .303 Calibre, and I live in Australia, hence 303EnfieldAU I would also have accepted suggestions that the name was related to the Royal Small Arms Factory at Enfield, as well...

Mine is on the pathetic side. rruss2827: Combination of initial from first name, first three letters of the last name and the numbers to my street address. That's it. When we moved into the house in 1994 I had a habit of transposing the numbers in the address, making it 2728 instead of the correct 2827. This tag is also part of my e-mail address and has been since we moved here. It helps me keep the street number in my mind in the correct order. Man, that was so dull I fell asleep at the keyboard.

The guys at the gym started calling me "Red Dog" so I just moved it over to the forums with a slight modification.

As for myself, I have always had bit of an obsession about the HMS Rodney. When a youth I read an account of the sinking of the Bismarck. In the book the HMS Rodney was really personified as this grand ole gal who was low on oil, engines failing badly, and in desperate need of overhaul, who nonetheless arrived just in time to score the first major ship to ship hit with her big guns on the Bismarck the day the Bismarck was sunk. The HMS Rodney had a couple nicknames. One was "Rodbox" and in the other case it was in conjunction with her sister ship, the HMS Nelson. The HMS Rodney and HMS Nelson were called "The Left and Right Boots of the Empire". Thus, "theleftboot" handle. Pretty geeky eh?

We had a company golf tournament and, with my high handicap (never broke 100), I won the longest drive, closest to the pin and my team won. He gave me the name "bulldog." So why isn't my name bulldog? When I registered on the forum it was already taken. Since my family heritage is German I tried to come up with something like that in German but didn't have much success. I ended up with feuerbock, which loosely translated means "fire mission." Somewhat appropriate to this forum so that's what I use. Hey, it doesn't have to make sense, does it?

I had just finished playing with my Zaxxon arcade game when I logged on that was the first thing that popped in to my head. I collect arcade games, juke boxes and slot machines. So I could have been Seeburg, Wurlitzer, Rock-Ola, CrossBow or Crack-Shot but Crack-Shot would have ben a lie.

I reminded more than some of Trevor Howard in his younger Pirate movies and the name stuck. People dont spell to well in the Carrrib. so it became Trever T.. Actually get official documents in this name.

I'm currently a staff weenie at CENTCOM in Tampa Florida. I am serving cheerfully, and without complaint. How can I complain when there are guys in Iraq getting shot, shelled, and bombed? Been there, and although it was more exciting than office work and hotel living, it worried my family alot. It worried me too, although you learn to put the fears and worry out of your mind in order to do your job. All in all, I would rather be at home with my wife and sons.
