After reading the above reference now I have some questions about the origins of mine. I emailed the author, and will do some checking in Skennerton's and with Brian at BDL. I have a case to go with it, but it is not numbered to the rifle. In fact, I have another Canadian case that I bought for my Brit. Very nice cases, and worth the price, if you can find one. After I learn more I'll try to post an update. Larry

Could not make out your serial number for sure, did you check yours against the article above? Mine is a 1946, but the serial number doesn't match the range in the article.
