I have see reports that the pistol will go on safety by itself when firing. I don't think the safety is actually "safe" to use, and I am not real happy with carrying the pistol on half-cock only. I see by the pictures that the Romanian TT-33 has the mandated safety up by the slide release. Does anyone know if this safety is actually workable? Is it usable easily, unlike the Norinco product? If it is, I would very happily get one. Outside of the safety I would consider this my favorite pistol.

Also, it is one of the best shooting Tokarev pistols that I've owned. Better than my Russian refurb.

I replaced all of the springs and now it functions beautifully. The saftey is ugly but work very well, no problems at all. BTW, where are you going to order one? I thought all of the dealers like SOG and AIM were out of stock. Tmygun
