I just bought an artillry shell and I can not find any info on the net about it.
It is about 24 inches tall and rimmed. It looks like a very large Brit .303 shell.
The markings on the headstamp read.

1 - 1945 (date?)
3 in MK 7 (British?)
W.E.N.
all brass case and since i like to collect WWII stuff, I hope the date of loading was Jan 1945. Other than that, this is my first every artilley shell and I am in the dark about it. Any idea on what it is or how much it is worth? I paid $18 for it and if nothing else, it is a good conversation piece.
