1. Is it possible the black "FN" style grips are original? I have only seen wood grips on Nazi military FN 1922's.
2. How do I find the date of manufacturer?
3. What is the range of value for an original military holster for a FN1922?
On the bottom of the grip, a number is stamped on either side of the mag well. A "4" is stamped on oneside, and a "0" on the other. Is it possible this is the year of manufacture? 1940?
I got the pistol from a guy who's grandfather brought it back from WW2. I have no reason to think the old guy ever swapped the grips but I know anything can happen over the years. I have the holster as well. I would call it "good" condition not very good or excellent. It is well worn and has a name hand written on the inside looks like: "J. Moor". There are no other visible marks on the holster, inside or out, that would indicate a manufacturer/distributor/number/date etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
