I think it makes the rifle complete, but sadly enough, I get everything off of (except the slings) and away from the rifles when they go out for a day at the range. As soon as they get back and receive a decent cleaning, all of the goodies go back on the rifle.

I also need something russian. I have soem Bulgarian, Polish, Romanian, and 2 different types of Hungarian. Oh yeah and tons of the pebble grain post war Russian. Oh yeah and I don't have any finnish stuff. I need some for my M27!

All in pretty rough shape. I'll be over at my parents' this weekend, I'll take some pics for you. Michael

The German "Gott Mit Uns" belt I thought was from WWI, but now I see a swastika, and I guess that can't be right. The two different sets of ammo pouches were on the belt, I assume they've been there ever since. The holster is also (I believe) from WWI. Note the tie-down thong. I seem to remember stories about my grandfather wearing a pistol on his hip like a cowboy. The canteen I am not sure if it is German or what. It is Aluminium, screw cap, wool covering with snaps. Stamping on neck read W.A.L. 40. I don't know a whole lot about these accessories, other than they're old and what's obvious. If anyone has any info on them, I'd certainly enjoy hearing. Hope that gives you a bit of a 'fix' Chuck! Michael

There should be a manufacturer's stamping on the back of the 1911 holster. Those ammo pouches are really something! The three pocket ones appear to be German and I think the two pocket pouches are Czech. IMO, some neat treasures there!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
