Got a 1917 GEW 98 last weekend from a friend of a friend. It's a Waffenwerke Oberspree Kornbusche & Co. refurb with a blued receiver and bolt. Stock
and gun all matching except bolt. Even the original cleaning rod. Blueing 90%+ and the stock is in very good condition with minor dings and one small chip at
the top of the butt. Appears to have been sitting on concrete due to the amount of rust on the buttplate and nowhere else. Cleaned up OK with steel wool but
left some pitting. Bore nice and shiny. Has the transitional rear sight (I guess it's called) instead of the roller coaster. Any idea what range these
should go for? I have a few Mausers but nothing like this one. Couldn't find any on gunbroker or auction arms. Thanks for any help.

recently got a similar one for a little over $250, but I think it was an extraordinary deal
