I have a few questions tho, when I look in the bore i dont see any "polygonal rifiling". Im so confused...my bore is mirror bright but I dont see ans rifiling, yet it shoots fine....? Anyway another thing I was wondering is would this gun chambered with hornady's 95gr XTP or georgia arms 95gr gold dot hollow point ammo would be good for a home defense pistol. I know theres better choices but would this suffice? And yes Im fully aware that shot placement is key to any self defense.

If you hold the barrel just right, you can see some faint line looking shapes in the bore. The 82 is a fine piece for coincealed carry (a little large for some applications) and I don't feel one bit underarmed with it as a home defense piece. They are one of the best buys on the market right now for a handgun. Undervalued and underpriced for what they are.

But they're a lot less now than they were when they first started showing up. I bought a few extras at the lower price to spread out the cost of that first one four years ago....

I've been looking at the barrel from the breach to the end..in daylight and artificial light, and I still see no sign of any rifiling. It looks like a smooth bore shotgun...its mirror bright though and the inside of the barrel looks like its never been used...weird. Next time I'll ask for that 10$ or 20$ handpick fee from jgsales. I guess it doesnt matter if its accurate at 25 yards or 15 yards, all that matters is if I can make the bullets go where I want them at 8 feet because thats the distance from my bedside holster to my doorway lol. On one of mine, you can see it, it's hard to explain. It's like lumps in the bore that run from the chamber to the muzzle. If you are brave, tap a chunk of pure lead through it and you'll see the impression it makes on the lead.

Except one thing, I'm right handed so when I press the clip release button on the right side, the clip rarely comes out, but when I press the left clip release it will pop out...when I have the slide cocked back both buttons work properly. I don't know what it could be. (UPDATE WHILE I WAS TYPING THIS REPLY) I just took a 9mm Remington Luger bullet, pushed the bullet back(so the OAL would be shorter) and loaded it in the clip and played with the clip release buttons both left and right, interestingly enough the clip pops out perfectly like its suppose to. Hm-mm. [UPDATE] I took a picture of the clip (http://i271.photobucket.c...2/mattypee1981/222002.jpg) and as you can kinda see the clip internal spring is kinda interfering with the release mechanism. I'm pretty sure once I get some more ammo and load it up that will probably eliminate the issue.
