"Romanian is light ball, 150 grain with a light powder load. Not good for most Mausers. Good for plinking only from my experience."
Here's the deal. I have a '88 commission rifle in very nice condition that was rebarreled by the Turks to .323/.311. The general consensus is the Gew '88 should be throwing a weak load 150 grain round down range. I don't want to end up with a bolt body protruding from my fore head, so if you (or anyone else) has any more info, it would be greatly appreciated.
I realize that I could be using RemChester, but there's a big difference between $1.25+ a round and less than 26 cents a round. And how can you beat $0.01 shipping.
Thanks
Michael
