I did find the [serial?] number on the band [very faintly stamped] where the buttstock and trigger guard meet, which is the same number that is on the left side of the barrel where it joins the receiver [DA23031A]. On the top of the barrel at the receiver [not on the receiver] are the markings: "P"; a symbol that looks like a lower case letter "m" with a small circle at the apex of the "m"; "24" directly under the symbol; "N" directly under the "24"; and directly under all the above, the letter "D" in a "U".
The wood is in great condition; the upper handguard has 4 grooves on each side; and the buttstock is a gray color. The bayonet that came with the rifle has "N 67" on one side and "75Z" on the other side.
Any ideas as to what I have here, or any resources to find out? Thanks for any help.
