Between 15 Oct and 1 Dec we received over 10,000 orders. We will not even be able to open the mail received on 1 Dec for at least another two weeks. We posted the WRA as sold out based strictly on the 7 baskets of mail received on 1 Dec. No sense in accepting more orders until we know if we can fill these. Even if we can fill all the current orders, there is no need at this time in adding to the huge backlog we already have.
As for how they will be worked - When we get ready to work the 1 Dec orders, we will take all the mail from those 1 Dec baskets and pile them on a large conference table (if not big enough, we'll use the floor). We will shuffle all the envelopes and them place them in baskets randomly. The baskets will then be distributed to three different offices for work. How quickly each office works their baskets will depend on how many phone calls and emails they have to answer from folks checking on their orders or finding reasons to challenge the way we do things (even before they know whether or not they will get a rifle), or otherwise delaying the process. Some clerks and offices will work their baskets sooner than others.
The WRA purchases are subject to the 12 Garand per year limit.
We did allot some WRA Garands for each store. There was not and is no limit for WRA purchases (other than the 12 per year).
We won't know if you will get the Garand you ordered until we get to your order. Hope this answers the questions.
