Now what? How do I plaster the file to this site? Maybe I ought to order that "free" computer training disc as advertised by the guy on TV. Until I get this sorted out I will EMail the file to those who PM me, unless/until it gets out of hand. For those who want to know what this is all about, see RgrNo1Shtr thread below. Also remember Vlad's admonition: This is not a recipe for your "project gun". It is just a little glimpse at the past when conversion of military surplus arms was in vogue. Don

I also started the account initiation process, but they are a little too intrusive for a recluse like me. They wanted birth date and home address, etc. Too scary, but I'll be glad to provide the pdf file to someone who has an account there, or a similar site. Also the offer to email anyone who wants the file still stands. Linden's writing style is both informative and entertaining. The level of technical expertise is equivilent to many of us Bubbas who worked over a milsurp in the past. My first was a 7.35 mm Carcano. My father sliced and spliced the military stock with a closely matching wood and reshaped it for a higher comb, forend cap and pistol grip. He then bathed the wood in oxalic acid to bleach it out for a close color match and finished. I put a recoil pad on, swivels and a replacement front sight. Damn, I wish I had that little carbine back. Don
