Merry
Christmas! Oh and I gave my wife the earrings she's wanted to go with last years necklace. It's much better to give and see the joy than
receive.

A PS3 and a bunch of shooting magazines (the reading kind!) The PS3 will help keep me sane at Ft. Drum!
I bought myself a sensible gift a few days ago, a Glock 17. Right now I'm fighting the urge to order another cap and ball revolver, either a Rogers & Spencer by EuroArms or a Zouave also by EA.(Two of the greatest firearms never issued!) A little late Christmas gift, debating how much I need either of them.........also want a Lyman Great Plains pistol kit. This is like the 4th time the BP bug has really bitten me, I think it all started when I had internet in my little hooch overseas looking at the "defarb" Civil War muskets and eyeing a Rogers &Spencer for hours thinking what a neat Christmas gift that would make for myself upon my return! People would jokingly accuse me of looking at "inappropriate material" then look at my screen and I'm on GunBroker, DGW or this site. It's a sickness I tell you!

Our four children chipped in and got me a Dell flat screen monitor with a 20" x 13" viewing area. It's a vast improvement over my old Samsung
13.5" x 10.5" monitor in terms of resolution and color intensity. I spend a lot of my life staring at it doing architectural work with CAD to say
nothing of tinkering with photographs. It's a vast improvement for my R/C flight simulator, too. It was my son's idea and he consulted with my
brother in law who's very knowledgable regarding computer graphics and hardware.

Sounds like we're doing great so far!! Flat screens are awesome. I went to one back in 2004 and it's like night and day comparing the older type
monitor to a flatscreen.
Add 4 lbs of IMR powders to the haul received here today!!!!

A book, "The Longest Winter" by Alex Kershaw (2004) about the Battle of the Bulge and the most decorated platoon in WWII the 394th I&R
(Intelligence & Reconaissance Platoon)
Looks to be a good read. Also I finally got my boxed set edition of HBO's "Generation Kill" mini-series. Already watched episodes one and two tonight. Great series on the 1st Recon Marines in Iraq. New front door speakers for my Dodge and other non related stuff.

boss289, let me know how your's shoots. Mine is giving me a little trouble with one magazine. I'm getting the much talked about mag jams in mine and
Taurus will not answer my emails about it. Great pistol otherwise.

Bill,
This is an excellent book. I read it in one sitting. My daughter gave me Battle for the Ruhr by Derek S. Zumbro. Enjoy PS. There is a gun show starting tonight in Allentown, Pa. I'll be doing my Christmas shopping for me, there.
