I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. My wife is a nurse manager at VA hospital and today was her turn to be the holiday supervisor. As she was doing her rounds this morning there was a older vet in the ER that was in the process of being transferred up to her floor. She told him that she was sorry that he had to be in the hospital on Christmas day. He said that's alright it does not bother me because back in 1944 I spent Christmas day in a fox hole in the middle of the battle of the bulge, and the worst part was it was -15 degrees. He then said that every Christmas day had been a good day since then.

Now, I'm waiting to see what the future brings so I can find out where I'll be next Christmas season........I hear Afghanistan is nice this
