Just saw the movie "Valkyrie" with my family (wife and kids aged 17-23.) I found it a fairly enjoyable evening. Even though I was very, very familiar with this part of history, it was interesting to see how it was presented on the big screen.
The bad: I thought the Russians got rid of all the sight hoods and cleaning rods on K98's. Apparently the Germans never put them on. At least in the movie no K98 had them!
The good: The cinematography was really excellent. It felt like you were there. Also good, any movie where Tom Cruise gets executed is ok by me!
There were many military weapons but only a small amount of warfare. The movie was much like a spy thriller.
I think anyone with an interest in history would enjoy it. My family enjoyed it too.
