This morning while siting in bed drinking a cup of joe and talking to my wife, she says I would like to get a concealed weapons permit. I said ok that's
not a bad idea. I look around on-line and see the Kel Tec .380 and the new Ruger .380 and think this might be the way to go. I did get the Walther PP out of
the safe and show it to her and she said its a little big. Any opinions on a good carry piece for my wife?

I'm not big on auto's, but either one that you mentioned should be good. I've heard excellent reports on both models. For a revolver, the Ruger
SP101, or even a Lady Smith would be good. You might take your wife to a gun store and let her pick up the pistols and get a feel for them. And then, of
course, buy a couple you like and want first, under the pretense of thinking they might work for her.

The Bersa .380 is a popular carry for ladies. I have one and like it for summer carry. 100% reliable, won't break the bank. It's a nice gun. But it is
similar to the Walther.

I've got a Ket-tec and they work great. 100% reliable and very small and light. That being said if I was buying a new one I think I'd get a
Ruger, they wern't available when I bought mine. But I see no reason to sell my Kel-tec to buy a Ruger. Second choice would be a J frame smith with an
alloy or scandium or titanium cylinder.

I like the idea of a revolver for a first tiem shooter: less mechanical stuff tok master. Just point and pull the trigbger. I ahve a S&W Bodyguard, alloy
frame, stainless cyulinder and barrel, rubber grips to take up the shock, certified for +P. It stays in my pocket a lot, and would be great for a woman. I also
think highly of taking her to a gun store (or gun show) to handle and see the selection, and then get what she likes best.
Boy! Does this ever need proofreading.

I'd recommend a 38 special revolver as well. Like Cisco, my Kel Tec has been 100% so far. I carry it all the time.
