Found this bandolier in a box from a relative that had not been opened since the late 1980s. It looks like a U.S. bandolier for 30 06 or a 30 carbine? Note how the strap leaves the pouches at a 45 degree angle instead of straight out: Also note how the stitching "overruns" a good 1/2" off the sling: There are no markings on it, and nothing inside. I've never seen a tan one. There was usually a safety pin in the strap, probably to shorten it if needed, or attach it to clothing.

Just about every U.S. bandoleer I have seen has been stamped with the contents.

The bandolier is more olive/green in person than in the pictures. The bottom two pictures also make it look more rough than it really is. One web site I found mentioned WWII bandoliers were not stamped at all?
