I recently purchased a used stock set for my SMLE and when I was isntalling the buttstock I noticed that the new buttstock that I received in the set was actually an inch or so longer than the orginal buttstock that was on the rifle. My question is, which would be the correct buttstock for the rifle? Also, where can I purchase or what can I do to to get the stock pieces to match? Right now, the buttstock and little clip on piece is dark and the main stock and handguard is lighter color wood. Help would be appreciated.
