So I picked up a new Type 99 Arisaka "Last Ditch" it's a Series 10 Nagoya if I'm reading the Kana right, the Series is kind of lightly
stamped. The Mum is mostly intact, I'm not sure if it was just not stamped all the way, or if someone tapped it very lightly with a file, the Stock is
also duffel cut, and there is what could be a little shrapnel damage on the underside of the butt stock, so I think this is a bring back, though I sadly do not
have the papers.
I have some questions though. How did I do at $265?
When was it made?, I assume 1945, but when?
Also I took it apart for inspection/cleaning, and the rear most screw the one for the Tang doesn't want to go back in, it was hard getting out to, it seems to be WAY to tight, I actually had to tap it out with a cleaning rod, it Does thread in, as it was fully installed when I got the rifle, I just can't put it back. How do I get it back in?, and how do I fix it?
