Quest. 1 Mine was bought drilled and tapped . There's also inletting in the stock for this , nicely done , with channels scalloped out for screw/driver clearance. Is this a factory D/T or has it been " Bubba'd" ? Quest. 2 It also came with a rather worn 7/8" sling that is in all appearce the same as the wider US 1907 sling. Did these slings also originally come with the rifle ?

The holes are factory, the stock inletting is NOT. IIRC, the original threads were of some oddball threading, so someone may well have re-tapped the holes for a more common screw and then inletted the stock to allow for a different scope mount. Otherwise, that is a darn nice rifle! Can't help you on the original sling. A Square 10--do you by chance have a price range in mind?
